New Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Thinner Than the iPad



Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, the thinnest and lightest Samsung tablet, was globally launched today in Seoul, South Korea. Thinner than the iPad Air 2, it is amazingly 5.6mm thin. The tablet is available in two sizes, the 9.7 inch (389g) and  the 8 inch (265g).

According to JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics “The Galaxy Tab S2 is not only our thinnest and lightest tablet of its size ever, it also gives users quick, easy access to a wealth of superior viewing and productivity features”.

Its stunning Super AMOLED display with 2048x1536 resolutions provides optimized reading and browsing experience as it delivers 94% of natural tones to show true-to-life colors. It is powered by Quad 1.9GHz and Quad 1.3GHz octacore processors and runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop). The tablet has an 8MP AF rear camera and a 2.1MP front camera. It is available in 32 or 64GB with MicroSD up to 128GB.

The Galaxy Tab S2 features a touch-enabled Fingerprint Scanner for secured authentication. It also has an improved Smart Manager that displays the settings automatically. It comes with a pre-installed anti-malware software and Microsoft Office Solutions for creating and editing documents while on the road.
