iPhone 7 and 7 Plus


The iPhone 7, as launched in the recent Apple event, brings a lot of improvements from its previous iPhone models such as its advanced camera features, increased battery life, more powerful processor, brighter display, splash and water resistance, better speakers and sleeker design.

Available in colors, Black, Silver, Gold, Rose Gold and an additional finish which is Jet Black, the new iPhone 7 is splash and water resistant. It is constructed with strong 7000 Series aluminum.

The new Home button is responsive and pressure sensitive. It works together with the Taptic Engine for precise tactile feedback when you press it. Running iOS 10, this iPhone model also has Touch ID, a fingerprint sensor, that offer ease and security.

The iPhone 7 boasts its improved camera features. Its 12MP rear camera comes with optical image stabilization that lessens blur due to handshake and motion. It also has a sensor that provides up to 3x longer exposure compared to iPhone 6s and with a ƒ/1.8 aperture, it can take excellent low-light photos. It also has four smart LEDs that flashes 50% brighter than the iPhone 6s.


The iPhone 7 Plus, on the other hand, has 12MP two cameras: one wide angle and one telephoto camera. Its cameras have an optical zoom at 2x and digital zoom at 10x. With this dual camera system, it can produce DSLR-quality photos.


Both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have Retina HD display with wide color gamut and 3D Touch. It is 25% brighter and can display cinema‑standard colors.


The A10 Fusion chip powering both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has two high‑performance cores and two high‑efficiency cores that can run at up to 2x the speed of iPhone 6. Aside from a powerful processor, these iPhones have longer battery life than its previous models.


In terms of audio, it now comes with a speaker system which is 2x louder than the iPhone 6s. It also has earpods with a lightning connector and AirPods, the new wireless headphones.

The iPhone 7 offers 3x faster LTE connection than the iPhone 6 up to 25 bands and speed up to 450Mbps. With this feature, you can enjoy worldwide roaming. It also supports  Wi-Fi connections.

iPhone 7/7 Plus Specs, Features and Design Rumors

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus announcement, as part of the big Apple event to be held on Sep. 7, 2016, is a much anticipated event for iOS phone lovers.


According to TechRadar, it’s going to be slimmer than the iPhone 6s with improved water resistance and no antenna bands. The screen sizes would be 4.7 inch  for the iPhone 7 and 5.5 inch for the iPhone 7 Plus. CNET and MacRumors mentioned that there’s going to be 5 colors available: Silver, Space Gray, Gold, Rose Gold and the new addition, Space or Gloss Black.


The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will also have two higher-quality camera lenses and extra LED flashes in Engadget’s article. It will also be powered by an A10 chip. It will run iOS 10 as it is also expected to be launched on the same day, says TheVerge.


In Forbes’s and MacWorld’s article, the storage capacities would be 32GB to 256GB with 2GB of RAM. Battery capacity will also be increased. There will be no more 3.5mm audio jack for wired headphones but according to IBTimes there’s going to be a wireless bluetooth earphones, “AirPods”, developed by Apple. There will also be a lightning cable port for charging.


There’s also a possibility of an iPhone 7 Pro release according to Digital Trends.
